Help using the Cornwall Public Inquiry Website

 Site Navigation Help

To get an overview of all the pages available on the Inquiry website, please use the sitemap. It will identify all pages contained on the website and will let you know where to find them. You may also click on any of the subheadings on the sitemap itself to get from one area on the website to another.

 PDF Help

In order to view and print PDF files, you must use PDF-reading software (Acrobat Reader).
You can download the free Acrobat Reader from: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html. It installs as a plug-in to your browser and launches when you click on a PDF link.

If you use a computer that's short of memory, and if your internet connection is slow, then you may want to download the PDF file and view it offline. To download the PDF file, click the right mouse button on the document link and select the option to save locally. The "save" option in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 is "Save Target As" and in Netscape Communicator 6.x and 7.x and Firefox 1.x it is "Save Link As."

Download time depends on the file size and your connection speed. The table below will help you determine how much time you may expect for a download to complete. These are best-case scenarios and your download time may be longer.

Connection Speed / File Size 100 KB   1 MB   10 MB   100 MB
33K modem <1 min. 4 min. 40 min. 7 hrs.
56K modem <1 min. 2 min. 24 min. 4 hrs.
ISDN 128Kbps <1 min. 1 min. 10 min. 2 hrs.
DSL/T1 (1.5Mbps) <1 min. <1 min. 1 min. 10 min.
Cable Modem (4Mbps) <1 min. 3 sec. 30 sec. 4 min.
