In 1990, he was appointed to the Ontario Court, Provincial Division, for the District of Algoma. Since then, he has presided over a number of cases in both family and criminal law matters. In 2000, he was appointed Regional Senior Judge for the Northeast Region of Ontario. In addition to hearing trials, his responsibilities have included sitting on the Chief Judge's Executive Committee and providing direction and supervision concerning the sittings of the Court and the assigning of judicial duties.
Prior to being appointed to the bench, Justice Glaude was a partner in the law firm Smith, Glaude and Scott in New Liskeard, Ontario. During his legal career he has been a member of the Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario and was a founding member and executive member of the Pavillion Family Resource Centre for Domestic Violence. In addition to practising law, Justice Glaude served as a member of the Ontario Police Commission from 1989-1990. He has also served as a member of the Nursing Homes Review Board, Laboratory Review Board and the Health Facilities Appeal Board.
Justice Glaude is a graduate of the University of Ottawa. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1980.
