Peer Support Manual - Date rape and sexual violence information for students
Muskoka Parry Sound Sexual Assault Services led this project to help educate police, students, parents and professionals on date rape and sexual violence issues. The project included the development of a peer support program, as well as training on legal issues.

The Ottawa Sexual Assault Protocol
Working with community partners, the Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre developed a comprehensive protocol for dealing with sexual violence. Training was provided and a conference for stakeholders was held.

Brochures - Youth victims of exploitation and abuse
Western Area Youth Services (WAYS) in London led the RISE for Youth project to provide education and outreach to youth victims of sexual exploitation and abuse. The project included training and public education on the sex trade. Posters, brochures, bus shelter ads and bracelets were developed to raise awareness.

The Odysseus Project Video Package
The Odysseus Project produced two videos, a drama and a documentary, to give a voice to victims of sexual assault. The videos examine the experiences of sexual assault victims in the criminal justice system. A training manual was also developed.

Peer Training Model - Leadership training for peer support
The Sexual Assault Centre Hamilton Area (SACHA) led the Multicultural Women Working for Change project. A peer support program was developed in Spanish, Arabic and Portuguese (Angolan) for survivors of assault and woman abuse. The project included leadership training and an evaluation report.

Training Manual - Facilitator training for those working with men who have experienced child sexual trauma
The Hearing, Healing and Hope Advisory Committee led this project to address the needs of adult male survivors of childhood sexual abuse in Grey and Bruce counties. The committee developed innovative training programs that combined Aboriginal and western beliefs and models in a service delivery approach. A training manual includes native cultural teachings, tips for working with survivors, group facilitation challenges and an evaluation system.

A website and resources for young women
Victoria County Women's Resources Services led this project to help young women (aged 16-24) who are at risk of dating violence and victimization. The project included a public awareness and media campaign, workshops, seminars, one-to-on counselling, and the creation of a website.

Self-help for men who have experienced sexual abuse
The Waterloo Regional Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association led this project in partnership with Waterloo Region Self-Help and Community Justice Initiatives to develop a range of services for male victims of sexual trauma. The project included training for local service providers and the local distribution of resources. A website and toll-free hotline were also created.

Training manual - Sexual Assault and Violence Prevention Program for youth
The Durham Regional Police Service, in partnership with the Durham District School Board and the Sexual Assault Violence Prevention Program of Lakeridge Health, developed the "Be Aware...Be Safe" Sexual Assault and Violence Prevention Program. The program includes a training manual and video, available through the Durham District School Board.

DVD, website and training manual - Police issues in investigating crime in the sex trade
The Niagara Regional Police Service led this project to develop an anonymous hotline called the "Bad Date Line", to better protect sex trade workers in the Niagara Region. Brochures, key chains and training for outreach workers, intake workers and police helped promote the service. A DVD detailing issues for police in investigating crime in the sex trade was also produced.

Footprints of the Past: A Healing Journey Forward
North Bay & District Association for Community Living led this project to develop an educational treatment program for survivors of sexual assault who have a developmental disability. Six support groups for men and women were created and two training manuals were produced.
