DVD: Stop Hate Crimes
The Settlement & Integration Services Organization developed a training manual and a media campaign to raise awareness of the destructive impact of hate crimes on visible minorities in Hamilton. A DVD called "Stop Hate Crimes" was also produced.

Community Trust Education: A Practical Guide to Model Application
Pinecrest-Queensway Health and Community Services led a series of community forums, workshops and training sessions to address hate crime in seven high-risk communities. The project involved community leaders and marginalized community members, and encouraged open discussions on racism. A handbook was also created.

Report: Building Community Capacity to Overcome Racism and Hate Crimes

Pinecrest-Queensway Health and Community Services hosted a community safety conference to identify strategies to support victims and address crime and safety in social housing. Five community-based forums were held over the course of the project to inform residents about hate crimes, available resources and reporting procedures.

A report called "Building Community Capacity to Overcome Racism and Hate Crimes" was also produced.

Pamphlets for gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgendered, transsexual, twospirited, intersex, queer and questioning youth

The Planned Parenthood Society of Hamilton led this project to help gay, bisexual, lesbian, transgendered, transsexual, twospirited, intersex, queer and questioning youth with harassment issues.

Youth learned to identify hate victimization, understand its impact and report it. The project included training on peer mentoring and the Teens Educating and Confronting Homophobia (TEACH) and Safe Space programs

Safe Spaces Curriculum

The Sexual Assault Centre of Brant developed standardized curriculum and accreditation workshops for the Safe Spaces Program to support and protect gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youths in Brant.

Elementary and secondary schools were consulted to maximize the program's effectiveness. Presentations were also made to numerous schools and service providers.

Pamphlet: Trauma and Resource Information for Lebanese Evacuees

Victim Services of Windsor and Essex partnered with the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex to provide public education and outreach to new Canadians who suffer from the traumatic effects of war, hate and bias crime.

The project included workshops, training and group programs, as well as referrals for individual counselling. A pamphlet titled "Trauma and Resource Information for Lebanese Evacuees" was also produced.
