Ontario is moving forward with its plan to provide new provincewide services for male survivors of sexual abuse. This is the first initiative of its kind in Canada.
Following a careful review by a panel of experts, a comprehensive network of 45 agencies from across Ontario, including a provincial crisis and referral service, has been selected to co-ordinate the delivery of services to male survivors.
Ontario has also created a provincial advisory committee of experts to ensure services across Ontario are rolled out smoothly, effectively, and are responsive to the needs of survivors.
This service framework builds on advice provided to government in consultation with current service providers, experts, and survivors.
