Ontario Supports Smiths Falls Police Service

Helping Local Police Improve Community Safety

November 9, 2010

News

The Smiths Falls Police Service will soon have a new vehicle to help police officers better protect the community.

As part of Crime Prevention Week, Ontario will support the local police service with the purchase of a vehicle equipped with crime scene investigation equipment. Having this specialized equipment available at the crime scene will help officers respond to and solve cases faster.

The Civil Remedies Grant program enables money to be taken out of the hands of wrongdoers and used to assist victims and police forces to help keep Ontario families and communities safe.
