McGuinty Government Improves Support Program

Victims of serious workplace incidents in Western Ontario will now have improved access to a support program that will help them through the healing process.

The province is providing additional funding to the Threads of Life Workplace Tragedy Family Support Association. Six new Family Guide volunteers will receive training to help them better support victims and their families.

Family Guides also collaborate with other organizations to promote services for victims of serious workplace incidents across Ontario.

• Threads of Life is receiving a $30,000 grant from the province's Victims' Justice Fund.
