How do I get spousal support?
- Both spouses can agree on the terms in a separation agreement, or;
- The spouse seeking support can start an application in court and request an order for spousal support. More
My former spouse is not paying spousal support as required by our separation agreement, what should I do?
A separation agreement can be filed with:
- The Ontario Court of Justice or Family Court branch of the Superior Court of Justice for the support payments to be enforced.
- You can forward the order to the Family Responsibility Office for enforcement after the agreement is filed with the court. More
