Victim awareness education workshops for police services are administered through the Victim Services Division (VSD) of the Ministry of the Attorney General.

Victims of sexual assault and domestic violence expect sensitive and professional responses from criminal justice personnel.

The VSD provides awareness education on Domestic Violence, Criminal Harassment and Elder Abuse to front-line police officers. These workshops are meant to enhance an officer’s ability to respond to victims in a professional and compassionate manner, as well as foster positive relationships with sexual assault/domestic violence service providers.
