The Ministry of the Attorney General has committed to working with Aboriginal communities and organizations to provide equitable, coordinated, effective and responsive criminal justice services to all Aboriginal men, women, children and youth in Ontario.
A total of $2 million in one-time funding was awarded to 19 Aboriginal organizations through the Aboriginal Victims Support Grant Program, for 20 local projects to improve community-based services for victims of crime, provide services to victims in remote communities and offer resources to meet community healing needs.
