Who we are

The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) regulates the financial services sectors including pensions, insurance (including auto), trust companies, credit unions, caisses populaires, co-operatives and mortgage brokers. It is comprised of three key parts:

  • The Commission
  • The Financial Services Tribunal
  • The Superintendent of Financial Services and staff.

The FSCO Legal Services Branch is a full-service legal branch, responsible for the co-ordination, administration and provision of legal services to the Superintendent and the FSCO program areas. We also work with the Ministry of Finance when financial services legislation and regulations are changed.
